Leadership is the Key Factor in the Transformation of Human Services Agencies @Medici_Manager @helenbevan

A new brief from Ovum reports on the Human Services Summit.

It would be easy to get caught in the negatives of today’s human services environment. Agencies interested in powering real and lasting change must look beyond the challenges. The key is to come together to create active communities of practice that include stakeholders from across sectors and recognize the need for strong leadership across every facet of the change journey. At a recent Human Services Summit that Accenture hosted with Harvard University, practitioners shared insights and leading practices around outcomes and impact in human services.

A new brief paper from Ovum summarizes the 2012 Human Services Summit and highlights leadership as a key enabler in human services transformation efforts. Human services agencies are under such constant pressure to deliver that there is often no time to step back to contemplate how to best drive change. Ovum believes that “leadership-focused communities of practice” have an essential role to play in bringing people, processes and technologies together for the next generation of citizen-centered human services delivery.
