1. Keep pointing at the anomalies and failures in the old paradigm
    Exploit managers dissatisfaction by finding out the things that keep them awake at night, and discuss with them what hasn’t worked.
  2. Come yourself, loudly, with assurance, from the new one
    Create curiosity by talking about whatever successes there are in your organisation or similar ones. Make the new normal compellingly but safely attractive, not a threat.
  3. Insert people with the new paradigm in places of public visibility and power
    The new normal needs to visibly replace the old normal, powerful people need to find it normal too.
  4. Don’t waste time with reactionaries
    It’s about changing minds, not winning arguments.
  5. Work with active change agents and with the vast middle ground of people who are open-minded
    A revolution needs ordinary people more than it needs revolutionaries.
